“Just read the sad news. But take heart. Thank God for the safety of our people. We WILL rebuild this House of God.” – Zaven Khanjian, AMAA Executive Director/CEO

Today, on Sunday, January 17th, in the early afternoon, right after the Youth Group ended its program following Sunday church service, a mortar shell hit the roof of the Armenian Evangelical Emmanuel Church of Aleppo, causing serious structural damage. Thank God there were no casualties or injuries.
The Armenian Evangelical Emmanuel Church of Aleppo, Syria is one of the oldest Armenian Evangelical Churches, established in 1852 (in the old city), soon after the Armenian Evangelical Movement in 1846. The current church building was erected in 1923.
WE WILL REBUILD!
