January 6 is Christmas on the Armenian Calendar.

Away from shopping malls and luscious dinner tables, the Armenian Missionary Association of America, brings you an exalting Christmas Sharagan, “Khorhurt Medz,” proclaiming the Heavenly Good News embodied in the birth and revelation of Christ. (Words and melody by the “Father of Armenian History,” poet and hymn writer, Movses Khorenatsi 410-490 AD)

On this Holy Day, may the unparalleled humility and infinite love of God incarnate abide in us all, and may “the great and magnificent Mystery revealed today” consume our absolute being to welcome Him among us. And may we, having been gifted the Creator’s boundless Grace, reflect Him, His shining light and inexhaustible love, modestly and through goodwill towards fellow men, in our lives.

The great and magnificent Mystery is revealed today;

shepherds and angels shared the good news with the world;
