Day 1- We finally arrived in Armenia after an exhilarating 21 hours of delays and flying! Some of the members of our group had already been in Armenia for a few days awaiting for our arrival. Others flew from various locations within the States such as Wisconsin and New York. The majority of the group, including myself, flew out from LAX on Thursday, June 11, at 5:00 p.m.and arrived in Armenia on Saturday, June 13, at 5:00 a.m (Armenia time). We are currently staying at the Ani Plaza Hotel in Yerevan for a day before we travel to Vanadzor to begin our work in the clinics.
We are so thankful that God has blessed us with such an amazing group and we are all extremely excited to see our ancestral country of Armenia and to help the people we encounter here, to heal them physically and spiritually. Our travels, while tiring, are only the beginning of a fantastic journey, during which we will grow in Christ, help those in need of physical and spiritual healing, and cultivate lasting friendships in a unique environment. This trip will, as it always has, bring together fellow believers from different paths, strengthen our individual bonds in Christ, and also create a loving family out of a group of total strangers. As we progress through the trip, I would like to post prayer requests for each day, so that our prayer warriors at home (Hi grandma), can keep us in their prayers. Today, I hope that you will pray that the Lord works in us all and brings us together to for the family that is crucial for our spiritual growth and also for the physical task of aiding the patients in the clinic. Thank you for reading my blog and for your prayers!
