World Environment Day at Avedisian School

Avedisian School as the region’s first and only green school continues to maintain, beautify and enrich our environment.

World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated every year on 5 June. Today our school staff together with the UN Development Program Representative in Armenia Bradley Busetto, has planted corn on the green roofs of the school building. The school benefactor Edward Avedisian, AMAA Representative in Armenia Harout Nercessian, the school principal Melanya Geghamyan, teachers and 10th graders took part in this event. It is worth mentioning that earlier, during the month of May, Avedisian schoolchildren planted trees, tomato, eggplant and pepper in the Avedisian School yard and roof.
